TrueBolt
Terms of Service
Effective July 2026 · These terms govern use of the TrueBolt service by dealer customers.
1. The service
TrueBolt provides durable QR asset tags and a hosted software service that links each tag to an asset page showing information the dealer records: equipment details, service history, documents, and a request-service function routed to the dealer. "Dealer" means the service company account holder; "end users" are people who scan tags.
2. Accounts & access
Dealers access the service via issued credentials and are responsible for activity under their access keys. Keep keys confidential; tell us promptly if one is compromised.
3. Hardware
Physical tags are provided at no charge and become the dealer's property on delivery. Dealers are responsible for appropriate installation on equipment they are authorized to service, following the included installation guidance. TrueBolt is not responsible for installation damage or for tags applied to equipment without the equipment owner's permission.
4. Fees & billing
Service is billed monthly in arrears at the published per-asset rates, applied to active (non-archived) assets. Volume rates apply automatically at published thresholds. The free trial runs 3 months from the dealer's first tag activation. Each activated asset carries a 12-month minimum service commitment — that is the trade for free hardware. Archiving an asset stops future billing after any remaining minimum on that asset. Founding-customer rates, where granted, remain in effect while the account stays active and in good standing.
5. Dealer data
Asset records the dealer enters belong to the dealer. Dealers may request a full export of their data at any time. If an account ends, asset pages pause; we retain data so it can be restored or exported, and we do not sell dealer data.
6. Scan logging
The service logs scan events (time, tag, technical browser information) and makes them visible to the servicing dealer. Public asset pages state that scans are logged.
7. Acceptable use
No unlawful use, no tagging equipment you are not authorized to service, no attempting to access other dealers' data, no interfering with the service.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" without uptime guarantees during early access. We may update features with reasonable notice of material changes.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrueBolt's total liability is capped at the fees the dealer paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. The service supplements — never replaces — the dealer's own records and safe work practices.
10. Termination
Dealers may stop using the service at any time; billing obligations under section 4 survive. We may suspend accounts for material breach after notice and a chance to cure.
11. General
These terms are governed by Wisconsin law. Questions or notices: contact us via trueboltco.com. We may update these terms; continued use after notice of changes is acceptance.
